Nac's Racing founder, Darren Naccarato, began racing ATV's in 1985 at age 15; he turned pro at age 16. In 1988 he started an ATV used parts business; the following year he began selling new parts & accessories. Darren was married in 1991, and while continuing to work full-time managing and operating his business, he also competed on the National Race circuit in the 4-Stroke, Open, and 250 Pro classes, recording season high finishes of 2nd, 3rd, and 7th in the respective classes.

Darren, along with Byron Goggin, founded and funded the first ATV GNC Awards Banquet. With Nac's as the title sponsor, a second banquet was held the following year, thus beginning the now traditional Annual ATVA Awards Banquet.

Darren's personal racing career was ended when he was diagnosed with cancer in 1995; yet his drive and vision were not shaken. After a bout with chemotherapy and radiation treatments, he went on to form Team Nac's Racing, a multi-rider national race team in 1997. The team had matching riding apparel, graphics, machines, and pit uniforms.

Darren was not only team owner, but also crew chief and head mechanic. He convinced Doug Gust to come out of retirement and anchor the team; the rest is history. Darren received the Perseverance Award for his remarkable achievements. Darren lost his battle to cancer on November 12, 1998; however, his vision and legacy live on. His commitment to ATV Racing was formally recognized at the ATV Legends Event on July 30, 2000.

Darren Naccarato was the founder of Nac's Racing. He was a top 10 Pro ATV Racer and competed in the 250 Pro, Open Pro, & 4-Stroke ProAm Classes.

At a very early age Darren started riding a battery powered ATV. At the age of 3, Darren started riding a two wheel bicycle without training wheels, he also wore out several 'Big Wheels' before graduating to motorized vehicles; a Honda Z50, followed by a Yamaha YZ80. His first ATV was a YTM 200, his first racing ATV was a 1985 Yamaha Tri-Z 250.
